First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó, who is in Belgrade as part of the 13th session of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Hungary.
In an extremely friendly and cordial atmosphere, the ministers noted that comprehensive bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and Hungary are at the highest level in recent history, which is also confirmed by the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on friendly relations and cooperation in the field of strategic partnership, effective as of January of this year.
In the spirit of existing strategic relations and partnership, the ministers also discussed the upcoming bilateral activities at the highest level, scheduled for June of this year, which will further improve good neighbourly relations and successful cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Hungary.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić, on behalf of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian people, thanked Hungary on the stance taken regarding the membership of the so-called Kosovo in the Council of Europe.
