Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Jelena Žarić Kovačević visits Hungary - 27 January 2025

Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of the Republic of Serbia, Jelena Žarić Kovačević, visited Hungary where she met with the Minister for Public Administration and Regional Development, Tibor Navracsics. 
 
The ministers discussed good practice in public administration systems, one-stop shops in public administration and digitalization on Serbia's path to the European Union integration.
 
During her stay in Budapest, Minister Žarić Kovačević also visited the Embassy of Serbia where she met with Ambassador Aleksandra Đurović.

Ambassador Aleksandra Đurović attended the conference marking the 35th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Constitutional Court of Hungary - 23 January 2025

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Hungary, Aleksandra Đurović, attended the international conference “Life Cycles in the Operation of Constitutional Courts – Challenges and Responses” held in the Hungarian Parliament on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Constitutional Court of Hungary. 
 
On that occasion, in a conversation with the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok, the friendly relations between the two countries based on mutual respect and understanding were confirmed.
 
The conference was also attended by Snežana Marković, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia. 

Minister of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia Tanja Miščević visits Hungary - 23 January 2025

The Minister of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia Tanja Miščević met today in Budapest with the Minister for EU Affairs János Bóka, with whom she discussed further steps on Serbia's EU integration path. 
 
During the visit, Minister Miščević also participated in the International Conference "Ready for enlargement? - From the perspective of the candidate countries and the EU", where she emphasized that EU integration remains a priority in Serbia's foreign policy, that Serbia is ready to fulfill its obligations in the accession process, and thanked Hungary for supporting Serbia on that path.
 
In addition to Minister Miščević, the conference was also attended by János Bóka, Minister for EU Affairs, and Christian Schmidt, High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 
The topics of the conference were enlargement as a geopolitical necessity, a new enlargement methodology, and the EU's readiness for enlargement, and was organized by the Ludovika University of Public Administration and the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
