Serbian Ambassador to Hungary Ivan Todorov was awarded today in the Cathedral Church in Sentandreja with the Order of the Diocese of Buda of the First Order for special merits for the Diocese of Buda and special contribution to building relations between Hungary, Serbia and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
On that occasion, Bishop Lukijan of Buda highlighted the skills and contribution of Ambassador Ivan Todorov in building peace and friendship between Serbia and Hungary and the peoples of the two countries.
Ambassador Todorov thanked Bishop Lukijan of Buda, the Diocese and the clergy with whom he cultivated exceptional official and friendly relations during his mandate in Budapest. He emphasized that he will remain attached to the Diocese and to Hungary and that the iron friendship between Serbia and Hungary will continue to last.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Hungary, Biljana Gutić-Bjelica, the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia and representatives of the Self-Government of the Serbs in Hungary.
